More iOS updates than Android owners throughout their phone's lifetime

iOS 13.1.2 has just been released and this is not good news. Apple patches the software on its knees, which has reached users full of errors and in fact in beta. And lost trust is really difficult to rebuild.
Apple can be proud of the fact that, unlike its rivals, it really cares about updating its hardware. It is not always that all new features go to older devices, but as a rule, thanks to regular updates, even several years of equipment are still fully usable.
It is difficult to say if this is the reason, but long support is correlated with the high price maintained by used Apple devices in the aftermarket. Smartphones, tablets and computers not only work very well for a long time, but you can withdraw a lot of cash when selling them.
Unfortunately, something went wrong this year, and update is chasing update.
New versions of Apple's software are presented for the first time in June during the WWDC conference, which begins the beta testing period of macOS , tvOS , watchOS and iOS (this year together with iPadOS ). It turned out that this time less than a quarter was not enough time to root out all bugs.
It came to the fact that Apple releases patches every few days. Literally. iOS 13 appeared on older devices from the Cupertino company the day before the premiere of new iPhones, i.e. September 19 . Just a few days later, on September 24, ... iOS 13.1 and the first version of iPadOS appeared.
Usually we've been waiting for this type of iOS for weeks.
Such a quick release of the next development update probably results from the fact that Apple finished the development of iOS 13 in principle already in mid-August, and the beta testing of iOS 13.1 began before its premiere. This does not mean, however, that the system sent to the factories was ready.
It is speculated that Apple decided to consider the unfinished software ready, just to push as many pieces of new phones from Chinese production lines as possible into warehouses in the United States ... before additional customs fees arise. The company had the specter of losing revenues.
Donald Trump does not want a new tribute from Apple so far, but the milk in the software has spilled.
At the same time, it seems that iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1, whose premiere was accelerated by 6 days - originally they were supposed to appear today - were also not ready. Not a week has passed, and two bugfixes have already appeared: iOS 13.1.1 last Friday , which had quite a few patches, and iOS 13.1.2, which appeared today.
This time, however, the update does not bring any really important news. Well, at least officially. The short list of changes is limited to a few items, the most important of which are camera patches - which could not turn on - and the backup progress bar.
Unfortunately, the iOS update pace is getting tired and Apple is showing its laziness.
Timber developers have doubled and tripled to remove all errors before the premiere, because they had no way to update the code once released. However, those times are over - in the world of video games, software, online services and operating systems.
It has long been believed that the so-called Day One Patch , which is a patch released for the premiere, is something normal. Now this boundary is shifting even more: developers are patching errors not so much as on the last straight, but after delivering the product to the recipient.
This should not be the case, but unfortunately, as customers, we have limited room for maneuver.
Of course, we can boycott one software provider, but it's like falling from the rain into the gutter. Not without reason in the title I call on Android, which is famous for the fact that not counting a few notable exceptions receives updates either late or not at all.
After all, the Cupertino company launches iOS 13 to launch its reputation. And it's not like Apple is doing everything to deliver new products on time and hence stumbles, it only releases software full of errors and pushes new functions for future updates.
It shouldn't look like this.
We've received several updates, and still not all bugs have been patched. Safari spam the Siri suggestions despite turning them off, the GPS icon tires Apple Watchy owners, and the synchronization of notifications lies. Will these errors be patched and when? Not known Will the new update break anything? It is also not known.
In addition, many of the news announced during WWDC 2019 have not yet been released, such as sharing folders in iCloud. We are also waiting for a new shooting mode, Deep Fusion, which will be added at a later date. However, we do not know when exactly we can expect it.
And just as I realize that iOS has become an extremely complex project, so do not exaggerate. Apple is a huge company with indescribable cash reserves, so if the situation is not the fault of the engineers, then the claims should be directed to their management. There is nothing to pretend that nothing happened. You had to either deliver to the appointed date or delay the premiere - not patch up production.
PS watchOS 6.0.1 has also been released, but the problem with the location icon does not solve, and macOS release date is still waiting. Given what is happening with iOS, maybe it's better that Apple is not in a hurry with it ...
